Forces of the Hangeh-ye Zhal military outpost in Baneh, Kurdistan province, have opened fire on a group of kolbars and killed a kolbar named Saadoun Ahmadi in the morning of 20 June.

A source in Baneh told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) that the border forces shot the kolbars “from a close range” and “without any warning”.

The kolbar’s body was taken to the department of forensic medicine and has not yet been returned to his family, the source added.

Saadoun Ahmadi, 27, was from the village of Havareh Khul in Baneh.
