Iranian border guards have opened fire on a group of kolbars and injured Rasoul Molani in the Barvish Kani border area in Baneh, Kurdistan province, on 28 July.

The kolbar was shot in the left leg and taken to Salah al-Din Ayubi Hospital in Baneh for treatment.

Border guards had also targeted a group of kolbars from a near distance and without prior warning on 26 July in the Hangeh-ye Zhal border area in Kurdistan province. They had killed Fereydoun Nasseri and injured five other kolbars.

On 28 July, Aboubakr Darvishi, the representative of Baneh City Council, spoke to the Iranian Labour News Agency (ILNA) and said: “Two days ago, a kolbar was shot at the border in Baneh along with five other kolbars. One was killed, and five others were injured.”

“This happened on Monday, 26 July, but unfortunately I do not know the details of the incident. I do not even know how old these people were. Most of the kolbars, who have been killed in the last 10 years, have had this happen to them inside Iran”, he added.
