Two Kurdish Kolber workers have died of heart attack while working in the past two weeks because of the “difficulty of their job and constant fear of the Iranian security forces on the borders,” a human rights activist told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

“Kurdish Kolber worker Ahmad Azizpour, who is from a border area near the city of Baneh, suffered a heart attack caused by pressure from his job while crossing a river and died on 3 March . He was a Kolber worker of winters season and a construction worker during the other seasons. He had a pregnant wife and two children,” the activist said.

The activist added: “Another Kurdish Kolber worker Rostam Rostami, 45, from border area of Hane Dasht near the city of Nawsud, died of heart attack on 20 March. His heart attack was caused by pressure he was under at work, as well as constant fear of being targeted by Iranian security forces at the borders while at work.”
