On Thursday morning, July 30, Iranian military forces in the border area of “Mela ghandi” in Nawsoud at Kermanshah province shot at a group of Kurdish Border Porters –known as Kolbar- from close range, a reliable source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

According to this source, as a result, a Kolbar  Wazir Mohammadi lost his life.Wazir Mohammadi, 29, from the village of Hashmir of Salas Babajani in Kermanshah province, was the father of a 4-year-old child.

The body of this Kolbar was transferred to Paveh Forensic Medicine and it has not been handed over to his family yet.

Earlier on July 26, 2020, a group of Kolbars were shot by border guards in the border area of Hangejal in Baneh and five Kolbars were injured. These two Kolbars, who were sent to the hospital in Panjwin in the Kurdistan Region for treatment, have been identified as Azad Sharifi and Ali Hosseini.

According to statistics compiled by KHRN in July this year, at least eight Kolbars and tradesmen “Shamzin Ahmadi, Ziad Asbati Heidranlu, Ebrahim Abu Bakri, Qasem Sarbaz, Shakir (Ali) Broki Milan, Salem Soleimannejad and Yousef Ahmadi were shot dead by Iranian and Turkish troops in the border areas of Orumiyeh, Chaldoran, Sardasht, Piranshahr.
